Many people hear the word holiness and they think of righteous living and a life without sin. That is part of what holiness is and a vital part, but while this is happening in your life you can also fulfil another aspect of holiness in your life.
One key ingredient in holiness is to have a life that is set apart for God. That is a life focused on pleasing God, with your time, your energy your possessions and your money.
People who live a set apart life don’t have an iPad just for work or for games, but they have an iPad that they use to minister to other people.
People who are set apart don’t just have a smart phone for phone calls and social media, they have a smart phone that is used often to encourage people and do ministry.
People that are set apart don’t just have a house that is furnished nice. There house is not only their castle but it a place where they can entertain strangers and homeless people and use the warmth and comfort to bring love and peace into another life.
People who are set apart don’t spend good money on great clothes to look good, they dress to have influence and effect not the world but to draw the world closer to God.
People who are set apart don’t buy luxury cars, no matter how much money they have. They have a better use for their money that will bless other people.
People who are set apart don’t have to set apart time each day to focus on God and be one with him for a time. All of their time and their life is focused on God.
People who are set apart don’t look to get caught up in the latest fad of thing capturing the worlds interest, they are most often ahead of the curve and doing things the world might emulate after them.
People who are set apart don’t have an issue giving $200 to a stranger or $500 to a ministry or more then 10% to their church each week. People who are set apart realise that all their money comes from God and is God’s and they steward the money that is allowed to them.
People who are set apart are most often deep and get frustrated when people are talking about sports and TV shows ten minutes after the church service whilst in the sanctuary.
People who are set apart are led by the Holy Spirit and are directed by Jesus and the Father and they please God all the time. People that are set apart walk in the favor of God.
People that are set apart aren’t not worried about the rapture or things going on with the world but are about God’s business doing what they are born and purposed to do.
People that are set apart go about doing what God places on their heart and not what other people are doing.
People that are set apart don’t do what is popular, and what the world craves, but they are following God with all they do and say.
People that are set apart are hungry for the ways of God and God is always teaching them and filling them.
People that are set apart only make up 1% of the church and yet the future revival will be led by them. Mostly they are unknown and not popular in the world’s standards but God knows when he needs to use them, that he will.
