Meeting Jesus

At one stage, I read the Bible and I read all of Paul’s letters and I got to the end of Peter. In second Peter, I think it says that Paul writings are hard to understand. It says some people would use them and twist them to lead people astray. And when I read in second Peter and I agreed with that and I thought to myself that Paul was very hard to understand. It was upsetting because I was trying to learn about God and trying to learn about the Christian faith but I come across someone who was hard to understand.

And so, I agreed with Peter and as I agreed with Peter, Jesus said to me, “I want you to read my Gospels. As you read them, try and understand the situation that I was in at the time, try and understand the audience, try and understand what I was saying and what I meant when I said what I did. And try and understand how I was feeling in each of the situations. So, I spent a number of years, reading the Gospels, seeking Jesus for the understanding of his parables and what they meant – what they meant to the people that he was sharing them with. I spent many hours, thinking about that parables and asking Jesus questions about them.

It was during this time, that I was in McDonalds in the city, in Sydney. And a homeless man appeared and I was looking after him, spending time with him. And I got tired at one stage and I said to the homeless man I was going to the toilet. I was going down to the toilet and I asked Jesus in my head, “How long do I have to be with this homeless man?”

A song in the radio came and played and it said, “It ain’t over, ’til it’s over.”

And so, I received that as the answer to the prayer that I had just prayed. And I went into the toilet, washed my face, splashed water on my face and refreshed myself and got ready to spend more time with the homeless man.

I came back to the homeless man and he said in a really clear voice, “It’s amazing isn’t it?”
And I said, “What is?”

And he said, “When you ask Jesus a question and he answers you with a song in the radio.”
Right away, he got my attention and he said to me, “Do you want me to share with you, what I feel Jesus was teaching when he was on earth?”

Jesus had told me not to leave the Gospels and read anywhere else except the Gospels and so, that was my mission at the time. So I was very interested in hearing what this homeless man has to say. He started speaking and each sentence was profound, it was truly rich and profound. So much so, that after one minute, my head was completely full and I couldn’t handle hearing anymore information.

The only person that has come like that has been Thomas Kempis in his writings, “The Imitation of Christ.” This is where he interviewed Christ and Jesus gave answers. Each page of that book is profound, but never since that book had I hear such profound wisdom. After a minute, I felt like telling the homeless man, could he please be quiet until I could remember some of what he said. But he was having such a fun time and he had such a smile on his face. It would’ve been very rude of me to tell him to be quiet.

Later, I was talking to another couple about the homeless man and I said, “I really think that it’s Jesus in the flesh.” And I think that many people would judge him by the way he looks. But he looks like the spitting image of the pictures of Jesus. And he looks like he just came out of Palestine. He was dressed in a robe – in a white robe and had no shoes on.

I had many signs that day and it was proven when he disappeared into thin air later on. I was assured that I had met Jesus.

After that experience, Jesus told me that if I had what the homeless man had said transcribed and I have a print out of it. it would take ten years to understand from the depths of what was said.

I’ve received a lot of revelation about what Jesus taught and what he meant and how he felt when he was on earth. And they’re all from questions and having a relationship with Jesus.
