A Gentle watering with Ephesians

Wow, I love Ephesians… this is the heart I desire!!!

I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers…
[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory,

(goodness)

that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom

[His wisdom]

and revelation

[of insight into mysteries and secrets]

in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, (WOW!!!)

By having the eyes of your heart

(your entire being)

flooded with light,

(His light)

so that you can know and understand the hope

(great anticipation of His goodness)

to which He has called you,

(WOW!!! My calling)

and how rich

(overflowing with abundance)

is His glorious

(goodness beyond imagination)

inheritance

(our family heritage)

in the saints

(His set-apart ones),

And [so that you can know and understand]

what is the immeasurable

(so beyond measurement)

and unlimited

(so beyond limits)

and surpassing greatness

(so beyond the greatest of the greatest)

of His power

(notice it doesn’t say love, but POWER)

in and for us who believe,

(believing believers of His power)

as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

(an experience of His encounter)

Which He exerted in Christ

(flowed into)

when He raised Him from the dead

(resurrection power)

and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],

(only in victory are you honored to be seated and this is the greatest honor of all honors!!!)
Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named
[above every title that can be conferred EVER],

not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come…
(ALL ages and all worlds-the whole universe)

And He has put all things under His feet

(complete dominion)

and has appointed Him

(Jesus)

the universal and supreme Head of the church

[absolute headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps 8:6.]

Which is His body,

(His Church)

the fullness of Him Who fills all in all

[for in that body (His church) lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].

Ep 1:16-23

Just take a moment and consider, is that enough power to prophesy, write a best selling book, or to heal the sick?
