A Key to Living the Prosperous Christian Life

By : admin on : May 2, 2019

Key 1 The Word of God.

The Word of God it’s really important to your Christian life, however this book may not have a lot of scripture references to the Word of God in it. I don’t feel the need to back up everything I say with the Bible, with a quote from the Bible, like many other people do. My whole life is founded on the Word of God. The Word of God that has been revealed to me is important to me, and I have built my whole life’s foundation on it, as you should also do.

I’ve got a book calledNineteen Scriptures to Change Your Life Forever: My Life Verses,andthat’s a good book for you to read. I would encourage you to read that. The book speaks about the19 scriptures that have had an amazing influence on my life, and I unpack what they mean and how they personally influence me. It’s really important as a Christian to know the Word of God, to be able to stand on the Word of God when you have thoughts come to your mind about things to actually do and decisions to make in your life. It’s important to be able to take every thought captive to the Word of God and cast down temptations and thoughts that are going to make you operate contrary to the Word of God. It’s vital that consider each thought and direction that you get in your mind  and weigh it up according to what the Word of God says.

The Word of God says for instance, don’t be gossiper or a busybody, so when you’re faced with the temptation to gossip, when you’re amongst people that are gossiping, the Word of God says don’t do it. When the people that are gossiping ask you for your opinion on such-and-such, you can say, “I prefer not to speak about him when he’s not here to defend himself. And please excuse me. I won’t be involved in conversations that are tearing down someone else. Whether what you say is true or not true, if they’re not here to defend themselves I’m not interested in talking.”

If you say such things to people in that way you’ll find that people will see that you’re of Christ and that you’re a living witness to Christ and you’re not just a person who’s Christian in name only but in your actions also. You also can be sure when you walk away from that table that they’ll start talking about you too!

In this way the Word of God needs to be up to frame who you are, what you’re about, how you live your life,  and be used to give you promises about your future. One of the verses in the Bible, passages in the Bible, that really touches me is Isaiah 42:6-8 and I will share it with you below.

Isaiah 42:6-9

“I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,
To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

 Let look at this part that says,

I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,
To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

One of my main feature callings in my life is to speak to people who are brokenhearted, who are in bondage, who are in darkness and bring the light of Christ into those dark places, to illuminate those places and give people some encouragement to come out that place. That’s one of my destinies, one of the destiny passages over my life, one of the key passages. There’s many key passages that exist that are over your life if you have eyes to see and a heart to embrace.

I encourage each of you to read the Word of God and like my book  calledNineteen Scriptures to Change Your Life Forever: My Life Verses, I encourage you to find 10 to 20 scriptures that really speak to you. I encourage you to start to meditate on them, start to get some understanding on what they mean, and start to live your life where you practice them and bring them through to fulfillment in your personal life. The Word of God  is very effective to fashion , build and propel your life if used correctly.

I will say this however. I was taught a lot of legalistic teaching for many years, and the people who taught the teaching used the Word of God to back up everything they were saying and convinced me of this false teaching. Then I was saved by a person who had a grace understanding and I was led into reading books on grace and I read books by Joseph Prince and other people.  I  later come to realize that much of what’s taught about the grace gospel is false teaching too, and it can be called hyper grace. Once again, I found that the hyper grace teachers are false teachers, and leading people astray to practice a lifestyle that will lead them into hell. Like the legalistic and religious teachers, the Hyper Grace teachers like Joseph Prince use the Bible to back up everything they teach.

So this is my current truth in my life and has been for the past eight years. When I read the New Testament now it hurts me because certain verses that were used to teach legalism stand out to me and upset me, certain verses in the New Testament that were use for the hyper grace teachers to prove hyper grace, when I read they hurt me. So reading the Word of God can be a hurtful thing for me. I really only read it now, as the Holy Spirit gives me a reference to go and look up and concentrate on.

I’ve spent many years in the Word of God and it totally frames who I am. If you want to be a prosperous Christian, if you want to have a successful Christian life, your life should be built on, be aligned with, and you should be standing on what the Word of God.
