Conversations with God- Faith

God:

How are you today?

Matthew:

I slept in today. I am well rested and I felt the leading to speak to you and hear you speak to me. A few prophecies have told me to sit down with you and listen to you. So instead of just being led by your Spirit and having a chat when I go to bed at night, I have come to speak to you again and add to my book.

God:

It is so good that you have friends that can prophesy over your life and tell you to come back to me and listen to me. I have many things to share with you. I would love you to sit at my feet. You have to approach me by faith. It is in the realms of faith that you even speak to me. You were just thinking and doubting that you have much faith. You have many promises that you have been given about your life in prophecy that have not come to pass yet and your heart has become sick. The scripture says, Hope differed makes the heart sick. I understand you being sad. Just because you long to preach and you long for a new wife and these things have not manifested does not mean that you do not have faith.

Matthew:

Yes, I am an open book before you. You hear my thoughts. You hear everything that I think and you see everything that I do. I know that every time I prophesy over another person, I step out in faith. I know even writing and publishing your words is a step of faith. I know that my walk and everything that I do is done by faith. I know that I walk by faith and not by sight. I know that I have great faith. But, still I am sad sometimes. I wish that I had a wife. I wish that I had the opportunity to preach.

Your mentor from heaven that you sent, Bob, says that the world is not ready for my message yet. I can see how that is true. It seems the world will need to be in place where they want to change and become set apart when I am going to be welcomed.

God:

I have plans for your life. You represent my new wine. Your message is a potent message and the lukewarm church is not ready for it. I will produce pockets of believers that will be ready for it. I have you close to me. You don’t do things on your own. Your ministry is not led by you and you are not busy building your own name. You are led by my Holy Spirit in all that you do and say.

That is how we desire each person that love us to walk. We desire people to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit each day with their life. Too many people want to walk by sight and not walk by faith. Too many people want to know all the steps that they are to take, and are not willing to walk each step by faith and hand in hand with us.

Many people know about me, but fewer know me. I want to be known not in theory but I want to be known through a practical way, through heart to heart conversations and daily obedience. I want to lead my people. I want people to know me and love me for who I am.

You might come to realise when you get to know me that I am not a God of instant gratification. Some people might need to wait forty and fifty years to see my promise be released in their lives. People need to have the faith to walk with me through a long journey like you have Matthew. Some people might have to wait many decades to see me work though their life in power.

Moses had to wait forty years from the time that he wanted to act. That was forty years after he murdered and was ready to stand up for the Israelites. I bet you can imagine that herding sheep was not the most stimulating thing for him to do for forty years. Joshua that took his mantle and led the Israelites after him served Moses for forty years before he also was promoted to be leader.

Today people want to be used right away. Today, people get the gift of prophecy and right away they want to be known and addressed as a prophet. People are in such a rush to be known and recognised. When I chose someone and I intend to use them, I have my plans for their life and it is only my way that will see them prosper. I am not a God that is slow, or inconsiderate, rather it is my wisdom that requires people to wait and be fully prepared for their mission.

If I had a simple message for you to teach, I would have released you to preach already. But your message is one like John the Baptist to help people prepare for the return of my Son. I want to use you to help the people wash themselves and become dressed in white linen ready for their groom. I have you prepared to teach the people and bring a new reformation. You are not being wasted. You are not being held back. You are simply learning to obey and, like us, you are waiting to bring the message at the right time. We also have a message to bring to the people and yet by in large their ears are not attuned to it.

Matthew:

I feel that I understand now. That’s similar to what Bob told me. I can understand that you are waiting to give people the message also. I can wait. It is hard, but I feel you heart in this matter also. I wish I could teach the milk and not the meat, but I know that the people need the meat and I won’t compromise just to be used and to be popular.

It is so good to speak to you. I guess that with faith I walk and obey you. Faith is no knowing the whole story but putting one foot in front of another. I long to meet you and be with you for eternity. This walk on earth can be so hard. Just speaking to you makes my heart long for you.

God:

We have the whole of eternity to be with each other. I need you on earth now to be my voice and my friend. I need you to direct my people and keep them safe in the trying times that are coming to the earth. I want you to know that I have chosen you to serve me and represent me. You have proven to be faithful to me. I will direct you and I will lead you into all that you need to know and to do. I am with you. I am for you and just like a boxer has a person in their corner, I am in your corner.

I see you thinking about your future books. I have plans for each of your books. I have what I want you to say in each of them. I am going to lead you to write each of them. I have it planned and you are not going to have a hard time thinking of what you are going to write next. I know you are a little stressed about that at the moment, but you will see that my words to you are true and that you will easily find subjects to write on when it comes time for another book.

Matthew:

Thank you for that reassurance. I have been worrying about that and worrying even as we have been speaking here. I am so happy that you can read my thoughts and you know my concerns. You are so good to me.
