Getting Right with God – Part 56

Journal 56

God:

How are you?

Matthew:

I don’t have much to do with my time. I have been getting up in the morning this week and I have found that that there is a lot of hours in the day to fill in if you don’t sleep in. I find myself a little at a loss of what to do with my time. I guess, I could read a book or two.

God:

Yes, it is a mystery for you to solve. I guess you could read. You have a number of books on your kindle that you have not read yet and you have some paperbacks that you have not read yet. You are not used to being stuck with nothing to do. You have been used to being busy with projects. It is a new thing for you to have whole day in front of you and nothing on the agenda. Personally, I keep myself busy most of the time.

Can you just imagine how much concentration it takes to listen to one billion Christians praying to me each day? Then there is the work that needs to be done and supervised to answer all of those prayers. Can you imagine how many angels are busy answering those prayers of the saints? These prayers are just some of what keeps me busy.

Of course, then there are people that have two-way prayer like you do here in this journal. I have to take time and answer those people. Then, there are people that go to the courts. I have to appear there also. I have many things that keep me busy.

Then, there are all sorts of heavenly councils that I take part in to work out the affairs of heaven and of earth. There is so much for me to do. You should come up here at the times you are not busy and get involved in the affairs of heaven.

Matthew:

That sounds exciting.

Openness and Vulnerability 56

Matthew:

What lie am I believing?

You think you need to be busy to be worthwhile. You honestly don’t know what to do with yourself today when you have nothing to do. You don’t consider getting a novel and reading it. You get your self –esteem from being busy and you don’t know how to really enjoy yourself and rest at time when you don’t have a work load on.

I love when you are getting things done. I love it when you are being productive. I love that side of you. I also want to see you at rest. I want to see you learn to take time out and simply do nothing. It would be good for you to read a book of fiction. I would be so happy to watch you just relax and rest and not achieve anything but enjoy yourself. Perhaps you could go to your bookstore and shop around and pick a book and read it.

So much of you rebels to this thought as you don’t think it is achieving anything worthwhile. You are, dare I say it, a workaholic. There it’s out there. You think life is all about ministry and doing things for people to grow closer to me. You don’t know how to relax well. That needs to change. You need to be able to work well and take time out and relax well. You need to have quality down time.

Matthew:

It seems such a waste of time. Why do I feel that?

Father:

Because you get your self-worth from ministering and they I not healthy for you. You are a good person to minister and you have a great message for people. That is not an issue. The issue is that you do not feel important unless you are ministering. We need to change this in your life. Having days where you just relax and read and kick back will help this. Take care.

Courts of Heaven 56

Matthew:

Jesus, take me to the courts

I see the courts. I see angels everywhere. I wave to them and they wave back. I see the Father on his throne. He waves at me. I see Jesus and he hugs me. I hug all my personal angels. They all encourage me with what they say to me as I hug them.

I see the accuser, he says I am not useful for the kingdom when I am not busy.

This sounds true to me but the Father has just been encouraging me to take some time out and read a novel. The bookstore that he put in my mind to go and buy the book from was not a Christian bookstore so I won’t be reading a Christian book. I feel that this accusation therefore is a lie even though it sounds right to me.

It is a false accusation Matthew. We need you to be well rested and we need you to be balanced. As a writer you need to read. Having you relax and read a novel is exactly what we would like you to do. I wash you in the blood of Jesus.

I judge the accuser and send him to be punished

I write a scroll for you, “I am worthwhile and worthy to be loved whether I am busy or not.”

Matthew:

Thank you for the scroll Father. That is hard to receive. It is such a bad lie that I have believed. I thank you. I thank Jesus and my personal angels. I leave the courts.
